People always have questions about how to potty train their dogs or general tips on the animal all around. I found that with my two yorkies, the crate method worked great. I would keep them in their crate over night and I would get up in the middle of the night while they were really young to let them go potty. But eventually, I didn't get up in the night at all, even if they were whining. Dogs don't like to go potty in the place that they sleep, however, that doesn't not mean they won't if they can't hold it. When they went potty in the house, I would put them by the spot that they went and tell them No firmly and them quickly put them outside. They eventually learned that they had to go potty outside. I would also put them in their crate to punish them when they went in the house. But I didn't leave them in the crate for long because dogs will eventually forget why they are in there in the first place.
Another good thing is get puppies a good solid chew toy, this prevents them from finding something around the house the chew on especially when they are teething. You don't want to get a bone that will fall apart easily because they could choke on the tiny pieces that may fall off.
Yorkies are very lovable dogs but they are also very very protective over what's theirs. They are very good watch dogs, but not guard dogs, obviously =). They are really sweet and pretty easy to potty train, however it doesn't depend on the dog because my male was easier to potty train then my female. Anyone looking for a dog should definitely get a yorkie, you will be very happy with the little one. I am a strong believer in animal shelters too! I think that all animals deserve second homes!

Should Children Be Tried As Adults?
Should children be tried as adults? I believe that by a certain, say 13, a person is fully aware of what is right and wrong. I have read many cases that involved 13-17 year olds committing horrific murders and they get sent to a juvenile facility, which is a slap on the wrist. I think that they should be tried as adults for murder, as for other crimes, I'm not sure. When someone commits murder they take someone's life that affects many family members and friends. So I definitely think that the person who committed the murder should be severly punish and not just sent to a juvenile facility. There are many children that are in and out of juvenile facilities because they don't learn the first time. They say that they learned that the juvenile system wasn't very strict so they went on committing crimes. I think that every murder case committed by a person under the age of 18 should be carefully evaluated and be on a person-by-person basis because mental capacity and things like that have to be considered. I know that when I was 13-14, I clearly knew right from wrong and that if I violated a law, I would get punished. I think society gives to much sympathy to children under the age of 18. I also believe in rehabilitation, so I don't think that children should get life without parole even though 42 states have laws that allow them to convict children with life without parole. Oklahoma can convict 13 year olds as adults for certain violate crimes. I think that there a lots of problems with our legal system. What do you think about convicting children as adults and for what crimes?
